Project management solar installation

The roof and parking deck of the former office of the Central Statistical Office in Heerlen will be paved with solar panels. Rooftop Energy and Walas Projects will realize this together. Since the end of 2016, the solar panels on the roofs produce energy. In the course of 2017 the solar system over the parking lot will be ready.

The parking deck will also be equipped with a water basin that will be used to catch and re-use rainwater. The sustainability of the parking deck will be further improved by replacing the current lighting with LED lights, and by redecorating the place with a sustainable design. Finally, there will be electrical charging outlets for both cars and bicycles, to encourage sustainable mobility.

Part of the office building, nowadays called Carbon6, is a national monument.
